Go to your MD: If you have swelling under your chin, you should get examined by a physician. It is possible that it is a submandibular lymph node, however, several causes need to be investigated, especially if the lump is asymmetric. A thorough examination of your head and neck including the oral cavity should be performed. Be honest about use of tobacco products with your doctor.Good luck.
