Need diagnosis: Any time there is trauma to the head and the headaches persist, it is absolutely essential that an epidural or subdural collection of blood around the brain be ruled out. Although it may not be present, any injury to the head that produces persistent headache needs a diagnosis. Seeing an intensivist (er doc) is necessary.
