Chunky?: I'm not sure what you mean by chunky. But if you have difficulty swallowing your food, see an ENT doc for assessment.

GERD: can lead to chunky feeling and thick spit which can hang in the back of the mouth or throat. See your PCP for diagnosis, tests and treatment.
