Yes: Recliners can change the angle of the coccyx and cause pain. Add a pillowor try a different posture in the chair.

Not Probable: But possible ... If spending a long time in recliner causing dependent edema in the sacral-coccygeal area. But if manipulating coccyx directly is painful then the recliner as not the cause.
