A member asked:

I sleep in a recliner because of my reflux but recently started putting a pillow behind my lower back and behind my head.... is that causing me to be propped up too much and possibly make it worse?

Chair reflux: Gravity never sleeps. The recommendation is to prop the head of your bed up 4-8 inches by putting blocks under the feet of the head of the bed. This avoids reflux from being bent in the middle. Bed bath and beyond used to stock the blocks. Try 4 inches first. If that does not work 8”. Discuss with team. Losing weight may help as well. But have not seen you.
