A member asked:

Barrett's, how long before metastasis becomes dysplasia?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

You are mixed up: Barrett's can be associated with dysplasia of varying degrees. If you have dysplasia, then there is a small risk that it can change into cancer of the esophagus. Your gastroenterologist can guide you if you see him/her regularly for endoscopic examination.
