Depends: A stage IV cancer-although it is treatable, unfortunately it is an incurable disease in majority cases. Some cancer like testicular cancer, however, can still be cured even though the cancer already spread beyond the primary organ. Lymphoma's prognosis is better than solid ca. The prognosis really depends on the type , the biology of cancer and your respond to treatment, overall condition etc.
