MgSO4 toxicity: MgSO4 toxicity is a very rare complication of treatment for pre-eclampsia and eclampsia. Symptoms/Signs include absent reflexes, respiratory depression, and cardiac dysfunction. Intravenous calcium gluconate is used in patients with toxic levels of magnesium.
