Depends: Most people recover in two to three days providing all went well. If you develop infection or dry socket it can be longer or if you have underlying problems. I have had great results in speeding recovery by taking homeopathic arnica and hypericum. Those two remedies help reduce swelling and discomfort!

Varies: Every patient recovers differently. One patient may have four wisdom teeth surgically removed and return to his or her preop lifestyle the same or next day. Another patient may have an uncomplicated extraction of an erupted wisdom tooth and require 3- 4 days or more to "recover". Typically, most patients rest for 2-3 days following surgery.
