7-10 days: If redness or tenderness not resolved with antibiotics in about a week, see your doctor for drainage of probable abscess. If worsens at any time while on antibiotics, see your doctor right away.

Depends: If infected it should resolve w/in a week. Sometimes they need to be drained. Even if the infection goes away, the sac is probably still there and should be removed to reduce risk of recurrence.
