Anesthesia: Anesthesia consists of a variety of medications that are designed to render you unconscious. These meds have varied durations within your body with some of the medications disappearing within minutes and others being capable of lasting within your body for hours or even for days. Now a days most anesthesiologists tend to use shorter acting medications that will allow your body to eliminate fast.

Depends: It depends on the amount and type of anesthesia you had and the length of your surgery. It also depends on your health, age and body mass. Usually by 24-48 hours all of it should be gone in most people. For the most part it is much quicker than 1-2 days.
