Very important: Gut function is very complex, and proper nutrition has a big role. People with food allergies will usually have lose and frequent stools and can have vitamin and mineral deficiencies from that. A lack of fiber can lead to constipation. Antibiotic use will alter bacteria in the gut and cause multiple problems. Many people use meal replacement supplements and that can cause problems with the gut.
