Gum disease: Not wise, may worsen gum disease, lead to mouth cancer. See your dentist or oral surgeon to get your gum disease treated.

Never: You won't like my answer but it is the truth and should be heeded. Chewing tobacco not only is bad for your gums but is a leading cause of cancer of the mouth which is on the rise!

Chewing tobacco: Chewing tobacco is not good with or without gum disease. The concern is a lot more serious than gum disease. And that's oral cancer.
