No: Chewing tobacco is one of the worst things you can do for your oral tissues. If you have gum disease you are already suffering from a bacterial infection. Adding chewing tobacco on top of that is only going to make unhealthy tissues worse. Also you are greatly increasing the chances of oral cancer.
