Is it true that after people have appendicitis blood iron levels drop? is this due to blood loss from surgery or another reason? thank you.

Generally, the blood: Loss from appendectomy surgery is not substantial. If there is any decrease in blood count it would be due to surgery but there is nothing about appendicitis that causes one to lose iron.
