A member asked:

During labor i had inducing medications and 20 bags of penicillin in 4 days with major blood loss during c section surgery. could this plus not sleeping and eating well cause long term dizziness? could penicillin have long term affects in the brain?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

"Major blood loss" during a C/S, with anemia the result, may produce dizziness if your iron stores are low, and you are not taking replacement. If your hemoglobin/hematocrit is near normal, and dizziness continues, obtain a referral to a neurologist to determine the cause. See your OB physician first for an exam to see if your blood count is near normal.
