Hypertension: Hi, you are on the right track. Hypertension is a chronic disease that causes problems over decades. Family history, smoking, uncontrolled high blood pressure all play a role in aneurysm formation. There are also aneurysms that are found for seemingly no reason as well. It varies.: Hypertension can contribute to the development of an aneurysm, but it is but one of many factors. Talk to your doctor. And for goodness sake, control your blood pressure.
