Son came home from prek with rash all over face - like tiny zits. no itching. is there a way i can tell if from food or contact with something?

Contact reaction: Most likely a reaction to some substance in contact. Why? Because a food/ingestion allergy tends to be diffusely scattered over the whole body, not as focused in location.Need to see what was on face during prek today. Treating the itching with calomine lotion or aloe may help.Oral Benadryl (diphenhydramine) may also minimize itching.

No: A rash limited to the facial area is less related to food. Have your pediatrician or family doctor take a look.
