Further test: Depends how old your friend is as well as the medical history. In a teenager, it rarely could be anything serious unless he/she has a history of congenital cardiac problems or sudden death in the family. In an older patient, it would be concerning for heart disease. If symptoms persist, see their doctor for further evaluation/treatment.

Arm and Chest Pain: This is a common place to have pain if there is a problem with the 6th cervical nerve. Also shoulder problems can give similar symptoms. Have those been checked?
