If you have spontaneous head, neck or jaw jerks, will you need general anesthesia for dental cleanings?

No: You need a dentist who is gentle and takes his time. Muscle relaxants or benzodiazepens may help.

Unlikely: Talk to your dentist, but this is not usually indicated. If needed your dentist can get you a sedative.
