Depends: Sometimes we give pedialyte to babies in addition to breast milk and formula so they don't get dehydrated. A couple of ounces every 3 hours is a good start for pedialyte. If your four-month old is having severe diarrhea, not eating, fever, rash, or bloody diarrhea, then i would have them evaluated by their pediatrician immediately to see if they need further care.

ELECTROLYTE SOLUTION: Yes, pedialyte equal amount for each diarrhea. It comes in different flavors, choose the one which your infant likes. Continue if breastfeeding. Give some bananna, rice and applesauce. Make sure she pees 5-6 times a day.
