NSAID: First medication to try would be anti-inflammatories (NSAID) such as Motrin or naprosyn, etc. There are prescritpion and over-the-counter strengths. The goal would be to consistently use to decrease any inflammation in the area of the carpal tunnels. You may need additional testing including possible xrays of the area also. Tylenol (acetaminophen) may help for comfort, but it is not an anti-inflammatory.
