My mom is having a full hysterectomy (davinci) & lives alone. i'm going to need to take time off of work. generally how long will i need to plan for?

Several days...: At least. Depending on her age and condition, a week may be required. Her surgeon will have suggestions based on her overall condition and the anticipated time required for him/her to complete the procedure. At some point more limited help will probably suffice.

Depends: How old is mom? A fairly healthy patient without other issues will be mostly normal by 2-4 weeks after surgery.

Hysterectomy: Most people are fine after hysterectomy and can be fully self sufficient. If she is daily healthy and active, she wouldn't need any help. So, if you were going to take time off to help, once week would be plenty.
