Early vs late: In early pregnancy it is considered relatively safe but of little value. In late pregnancy it is dangerous and may cause fetal damage.

Aspirin: Aspirin will more harmful than helpful unless a clear cut indication exists. It's not routinely used to prevent placental clots.
