It depends: I assume that you are referring to scaling from sunburn. Scaling is the result of skin epidermal injury and inflammation secondary to a burn. Whether one bleeds or not would depend on extent of the burn, medical problems already present, possibly medications used, age, and variations in physiology of skin. Generally speaking, bleeding is not common during scaling.
