A member asked:

Why would my thyroid antibodies test be negative?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Autoimmune thyroid: Anti-tpo antibodies are usually elevated in people with hashimotos thyroiditis and often with graves disease. However, the test is not perfect, and is sometimes negative, even if you have hashi. Also, some labs don't perform the test well. See your endocrinologist.
