What does the color yellow mean on a kidney ultrasound?

Flowing blood: It seems you saw the screen during an ultrasound. One of the functions uses doppler analysis to determine blood flow. Flow is indicated by color on the screen. Yellow is usually used for power doppler which is more sensitive to flow but not direction specific.
