Diet/Exercise: For weight loss: diet for keeping weight off: diet/exercise dieting by itself is better than exercise by itself for weight loss. The problem is that the body will break down both fat and muscle during dieting alone which will lower the resting metabolic rate because of muscle loss. This can lead to gaining weight back quicker once dieting stops.
