Wrong drug for bugs: Very few organisms in the bladder susceptible to clinda. If you have antibiotic left over from a different infection, throw it away! bladder infection antibiotics are geared towards the bacteria that are found in the realm of the bladder (clinda treates skin staph & some gut anaerobic bacteria). We try once w/best guess (bactrim, amp, cipro) if we fail we treat by culture and susceptibilities.
