Different conditions: Asthma is a chronic inflammatory disorder of the airways causing reversible airflow obstruction that manifests as cough, wheezing, chest tightness or shortness of breath. Walking pneumonia is an infection caused by mycoplasma pneumoniae that can also cause similar symptoms, but generally no fever or chills. Talk to your doctor if you are concerned about your symptoms.
