Unclear: Serum creatinine is "normal" below 1.2 mg/dl for most labs. What it means for an individual depends on the gender, age, and weight. 1.1 for a man of average build in his 20's is likely normal. For a woman in her 80's, it is abnormal.

Serum creatinine: A person's creatinine level needs to be interpreted in the light of the patient's age, sex, weight and race, the variables (v). You can see from the image, that serum creatinine levels, per se, mean different things in different people. Once the patient's v's are known, an estimated glomerular filtration rate can calculated witch can make more sense of the creatinine level.

Normal: High end of normal for a woman, especially if she is petite.
