Creatinine: Creatinine level depends on many things....Age, race, sex, muscle mass. For women, the usual creatinine is between 0.6 and 1mg/dl. For men, between 0.9 and 1.4mg/dl. As we age, the creatinine should lower slightly (less muscle mass). The number is important but so are the trends. Usually, I am not very concerned with a creatinine of 1 unless its someone very young or very small/frail.
