Can a tick cause mrsa infection?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Tick + MRSA =Maybe: Alea, I do not know for sure. We know mosquitos may transmit disease by feeding on multiple hosts. Mrsa is a resistant form of a common bacteria that lives on the skin of humans. Unfortunately, 50% or more have some form of MRSA living on their skin. I think it more likely a tick might break the skin and allow entry and possible infection by the MRSA that was already living outside on the skin.
