Creatine kinase: Ck elevation may be related to muscle damage which is usually temporary. Low thyroid function can lead to elevated ck. Certain medications can also lead to elevation in ck. See your doctor for evaluation of cause of elevated ck.

Why do you ask?: In my series with medical students, essentially all the men who are fitness-focused have ck above the reference range, which is set based on the assumption that the person does not exercise. If this is you, and you feel well, stop worrying and be proud of yourself.
