Can you have a mri with braces?

Yes: Depending on the sequence used during the scanning and the amount of metal in the braces there might be some "noisy artifact" in the front of the brain. This is not usually too much of an issue though. Braces themselves don't prevent an mri.

Yes: Braces are stainless steel, a non-magnetic alloy. Will not be affected by mri. May, however cause some irregular readings. Radiologist will take that into consideration.
