Yes: Braces may cause distortion of the image in the area around them, but are generally MRI safe. Let the MRI technologist know exactly what hardware you have inside you when you go for the scan.

OK: Metals used in Orthodontic Treatment are non-magnetic, not altered by magnetic forces. You should be OK. Just make the MRI technician aware of your braces/retainer.
