Could: Fluid behind the uterus is frequently see after your cyclic ovarian cysts rupture and has nothing to do with tubal patency. If fluid is seen after a hysterosonogram then tubal patency is presumed if there was no fluid before the procedure.

Not necessarily: The best way to check for blocked tubes with imaging is with a hysterosalpingogram (hsg). The tubes do not have to be enlarged or contain fluid to be blocked.
