Could be either: I would suggest that you see your local dermatologist or walk in clinic to be evaluated. More information is needed: location, length of time present, etc. You may clean the area with dilute peroxide and apply an antibiotic ointment/bandaid to site before going to be seen. You should not ignore these types of sores, as they may worsen and become a bigger problem.
