Yes: Hysterectomy can have many consequences for women. This can include depression and feeling less of a woman without her womb like a man being castrated. Other women can have sexual dysfunction. The uterus is important for cardiovascular health and bone health and hysterectomy places women at increased risk for osteoporosis and heart disease. The risk increases the younger she undergoes hysterectomy.
