Cymbalta (duloxetine) : Cymbalta is an antidepressant that has an approved indication for management of chronic musculoskeletal pain. This has been established in studies on patients with chronic low back pain and chronic pain due to osteoarthritis. I included a link to the full prescribing information on Cymbalta below. Celexa (citalopram hbr) is indicated for the treatment of depression and does not have an approval for treatment pain. Lyrica (pregabalin) is not an antidepressant. From this information it would appear that if you require treatment of depression and also suffer from osteoarthritis pain, Cymbalta may be a better option for you than celexa. The final decision, of course, rests with your treating physician, who knows the details of your condition. Hormone replacement therapy may be of benefit for you but this is not exactly the field of psychiatry (although there is an obvious overlap) and your primary care physician should be able to advise you or refer to a specialist.

Yes: Lyrics is a neuroleptic agent and not an antidepressant. Cymbalta (duloxetine) is. Both are generally much more effective than celexa.
