A member asked:

Does mono put sores on lips?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not usually: Mononucleosis is caused by EBV, a virus that typically produces a myriad of symptoms including fever, enlarged lymph nodes, sore throat, abdominal discomfort, fever, cough, etc. Sores in the mouth are more typical with viruses within the herpes family.
