Mono & Strep? Yikes!: That would be a really awful combo to have but i'm not sure that it would explain numbness on your lips. Numbness is a concerning symptom and deserves to be more fully explored by your doctor (who you should be following up with closely if you really have mono and strep).

See doc: Mono & strep occur more frequently together than can be explained by chance alone. The numbness may be related to "alice in wonderland syndrome." this occurs frequently in mono, sending odd sensory inputs to the brain. Extremities feel bigger or smaller than in reality. Mono frequently affects central nervous system sensory inputs. Please see your doctor to be sure there is nothing else going on.
