Small?: Small is relative when it comes to teeth. Which tooth broke and what condition was it in before it broke? Is the tooth loose? See your dentist to make sure definitively.

No: No. When a "small part" of tooth breaks, it often means that part of tooth was undermined by a larger area of decay. See the dentist soon and perhaps you can save the tooth.

For how long ?: A week? A month? Pain is not the indicator that you have a problem. There many be a bigger problem than the small break suggests. See a dentist soon.

See a dentist: If there is no pain and the chip is small, it's up to you to decide. See a dentist at your convenience to prevent future complications.

See DDS: If possible, see DDS ASAP to avoid further complications. On a provisional basis, if warranted, buy Dent-temp to fill in the area until you see your DDS.
