A member asked:

How do doctors tell if you have a brain tumor?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Imaging: The diagnosis of a brain tumor starts with recognizing neurological problems and obtaining a good history and neurological examination. If a brain tumor is suspected ct or, better, MRI scans are usually done, and these will reveal a tumor if present, and indicate where and possibly what type. The actual diagnosis ultimately comes from removing some or all of it and having a pathologist examine it.
