Does hernia surgery promote bloating?

No: Hernia surgery, once healed, would have no association with bloating. If the hernia surgery was recent, then anesthetics & pain medications can cause bloatuong or constipation. If the surgery was a recent laparoscopic surgery, then one may temporarily feel bloated for a few days after surgery.

No: It is possible to have constipation after hernia surgery, but it should not cause bloating.
