Rice water: Make sure baby stays hydrated, giving water that rice was cooked in can be a gentle way to slow diarrhea.

DIARRHEA In Children: Mostly caused by virus, self limiting, resolve by 3 to 5 or 7d. If severe or continues more than 2 weeks, see the doc. Don't use medicine e.g. Kaopactate etc. To stop diarrhea, bc these medicines stop bowel movement so the organisms stay in the intestine, releases toxin and child get toxic. Use pedialyte, probiotics/yogort, bananna, rice, chicken soup, crackers etc. If chronic- need evaluation.
