Theoretically : An hsg can clear a proximal blockage, but studies haven't shown this happens consistently. Also if you had a proximal blockage cleared by hsg, it would generally show on the hsg - meaning you would not see a blockage. I highly doubt any symptoms could possibly tell you whether you have a block or it was cleared.
