Professional help: You need detox, preferably inpatient, then a structured, monitored outpatient aa program with a sponsor etc. I also believe that individual psychotherapy unconnected to the aa model at the same time works the best. If after at least 30 days of sobriety you have symptoms of anxiety or sleep disturbance and or depression then you need a psychiatric evaluation to determine the need for medication, .

Check for local : Alcoholics anonymous meetings on line or in your yellow pages. Be honest with your physician. Evaluation by an addiction medicine specialist would be optimum.
