I have had a complete shoulder rotator cuff repair 10 yrs ago. i have injured it recently lifting weights. can you tear it again?

Unfortunately, yes: Although the tendon heals back down to the bone, the quality of that tissue isnt as good as what you were given at birth, so yes cuff repairs are still at risk for retear.
