No: Almond milk is just a white liquid substitute for those who cannot tolerate dairy products (made from cows milk). It's similar to rice & soy milks in that water is added to finely ground almonds (or rice or soy etc) to make a milky white liquid. Check out http://en.Wikipedia.Org/wiki/almond_milk.
